Vasco Career College is a California Department of Public Health Approved Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)/Certified Home Health Aide Continuing Education (CE) Provider for classroom instructions only (NAC#1107) Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)/Certified Home Health Aide need 48 hours of CEUs per 2 year renewal period. Only 24 hours can be taken online; the remaining 24 hours must be taken in a classroom. In addition to the CEUs, a Certified Nursing Assistant must work at least 8 hours in the 2-year renewal period.NOTE: 2 more students required to offer class!! WORKBOOK 1 IN-SERVICE EDUCATION

The American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid, CPR and AED certification course content is designed for individuals with limited or no medical training experience who need a course completion card in first aid, CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. 2 students or more to offer the class... by appointment! 6-8 hours. This certification course is Instructor led with a watch while practicing AHA video format and includes focused skills learning and assessments throughout the program. The content is based on the most current AHA science with the following modules:

• First Aid Basics
• Medical Emergencies
• Injury Emergencies
• Environmental Emergencies
• Adult CPR and AED use
• Optional Modules: Child CPR and AED Use and Infant CPR

If you are a healthcare provider you may be required to take a different CPR course (CPR/Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers). To register for the CPR/BLS course, select that course from the "Offered Classes" link for more information and secure online registration.  NOTE: Students must be able to read English sufficiently to understand the skill handbook. They must be in good physical shape to kneel on the floor for training. Students will not be admitted late. 2 students or more to offer the class... by appointment! 6-8 hours. Bring some snacks to class. Class size six (6) students.
